Every school day, sixty-seven children step into the forest - breathing fresh air, discovering God’s handiwork in every leaf and stream, and learning in ways that nurture their minds, hearts, and spirits.

At Cottage Forest School, our mission is simple: to help children grow in Christ through hands-on, nature-based education that honors God’s creation.

For years, CFS has operated with faith, perseverance, and gratitude. We have watched children flourish in this unique learning environment, and we have seen firsthand how deeply families need a place where Christian education and outdoor learning come together.

Our school has grown, and with that growth comes the need for stability, permanence, and space to dream bigger. Owning our own land allows us to protect our outdoor classrooms, expand programming, and ensure that nature-based education remains accessible to families far into the future.

The Vision: 32 Acres of Purposeful Learning

Our future campus will be developed thoughtfully over 2-3 years, through three intentional building phases, blending education, nature, and timeless design.

Phase One: Foundations for Learning

  • Construction of an access road

  • Three new classroom buildings inspired by traditional cottage styles and the history of the Forest schools in Scandinavia, the UK, and in North America.

    • Nordic Cottage

    • American Cottage

    • English Cottage

These warm, human-scaled buildings will serve as welcoming learning spaces rooted in simplicity, beauty, and function.

Phase Two: Community & Gathering

  • Construction of an assembly building for gatherings, performances, and shared experiences.

  • Development of a parking area to better serve families & visitors.

Phase Three: Growth for the Future

  • Construction of two additional school buildings to support continued enrollment growth and program expansion.

This land represents more than acreage - it's an investment in childhood, community, and the natural world.

This land represents more than acreage - it's an investment in childhood, community, and the natural world.

We are currently raising $400,000 to purchase 32 acres of land located next Love Creek Nature Center, creating a permanent, nature-rich home where children can learn, explore, and grow for generations to come.

Your gift helps us nurture the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Through time in nature, hands-on discovery, and moments of awe, our students grow in character, develop a lifelong love of learning, and deepen their appreciation for the beauty of creation.

Now, as we look to find a new home for Cottage Forest School, your support will help us create even more spaces where children can explore freely, connect with nature, and experience the joy of learning in God’s creation.

When you give, you’re helping children experience an innocent and joyful childhood—one filled with freedom, curiosity, and connection to the natural world.

Join us as we grow—our location, our school, and the hearts of every child who learns here.

What Parents are Saying….

“My son…(is)excited to go every morning. He comes home full of stories about swimming, exploring outside, and all the practical things they’re teaching him.” - Rebecca Alva, Kindergarten parent

"My daughters absolutely love this school and look forward to going every day. The benefits we’ve seen are remarkable — a genuine love of learning, confidence in the outdoors, social and emotional thriving, and beautiful growth in character. We are deeply grateful for the way this community is shaping not just what they learn, but who they are becoming." - Amber Fenner, 1st & 3rd parent

“It made us feel like we made the right decision sending them here. I wish I had the opportunity to attend this school when I was younger too!” - Kiah Eloi, 1st grade parent

“The school portion of it is difficult enough to challenge him academically and put him on par with other children in other schools, but because he's outside so much and spending quality time with his peers, he's much healthier physically and emotionally.” - Dena Vieira, 7th grade parent

“At this school, my children are not only learning academics, but also developing a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I feel fortunate that a school like this exists locally.” - Jenni Graves, 4th & 1st parent
